The Journey

Tales From Another Dimension is an award-wining collection of ten short stories. Written and compiled over many years. Two of the stories have previously been published in sci-fi anthologies.

While writing general fiction, essays, and also attempting the arduous goal of writing a full length novel, Robbie decided if sci-fi magazines and outlets only accepted a measly 2% of all submitted stories, then he would publish them himself. Spawning a miscellaneum of tales exploring extraordinary characters and places, Robbie published Tales From Another Dimension.

Robbie likes to lead his readers down winding paths of mystery and intrigue, and eventually stumbling upon a destination they never expected. Stories should stir our limitless imagination and emotions. Tales From Another Dimension accomplishes this in a profound way through its characters and strange worlds.

Robbie Sheerin was born and raised in Oban, Scotland. He moved to the USA when he was twenty-three.


Robbie is married to his wife, Beckee, who is his biggest supporter of his writing and best friend. He has a daughter named Lilly, whose imagination has inspired him to write. He is a quality manager, and resides in the New England area. Robbie writes in his spare time, and enjoys woodworking, movies, music, golf, fishing, and reading.


Robbie Sheerin’s love for storytelling has always been strong. For many years, the Scottish writer has written short stories and essays. He is influenced by the founding fathers of classic sci-fi; Asimov, Heinlein, Bradbury, Serling, Clarke, Avram Davidson, and HG Wells, discovering escapism and imagination in their many works.


Evidence of his writing abilities was soon realized in 2020, when he published his stories and essays in various online and paperback journals. The goal of publishing a book became a reality for the self-taught writer. In 2021 a collection of his best sci-fi short stories were compiled.


Inspired by The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits, he has always been drawn to the twists and turns of storytelling. His style of writing implements smoke and mirrors, which often catch readers off guard with strange and enigmatic endings.


Robbie has been a Whovian since a young age.
